1. In oral preparations, it can be directly used as a carrier for the development of solid oral dosage forms such as sustained-release tablets and capsules. When compounded with active pharmaceutical ingredients and incorporated into formulations as a complex, it masks or alleviates the irritating taste of drugs and improves patient compliance. Additionally, it optimizes drug solubility and in vivo absorption, thereby enhancing the bioavailability of pharmaceutical products.

2. It serves as a sweetener, humectant and food additive to effectively improve the texture, mouthfeel and overall stability of food products.

3. It can be applied as a reference standard for experimental analysis, which supports the establishment of calibration curves, evaluates the accuracy and precision of chemical analytical results, verifies and validates standard analytical detection methods, and calibrates analytical instruments. Furthermore, it can be used as a research reagent for relevant chemical experiments and academic studies.

4. Utilizable by specific yeasts and bacteria, it acts as a carbon source to supply energy and nutrients during microbial fermentation processes.

5. In scientific research experiments such as plant physiology studies, it can be applied to explore its functional role in plant stress responses.
