Solubility: Soluble in acetone, toluene, chloroform, THF, methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate Insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol and aliphatic alkanes 

Comparison with PMMA: Its long alkyl butyl side chains loosen molecular chains, delivering outstanding flexibility, strong adhesion and good low-temperature toughness without brittleness. It features lower hardness, rigidity, light transmittance and solvent resistance compared with PMMA. 

Stability: Stable under ambient temperature, excellent weather resistance and resistance to weak acids and weak alkalis. Subject to thermal degradation at high temperatures; hydrophobic with low water absorption. 

Storage: Store in a cool, dry and airtight place at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

Coatings & Adhesives

As a homopolymer of soft segment monomer for solvent-based and emulsion acrylic systems, it improves coating flexibility, crack resistance and adhesion to plastics and metals.
Widely used in leather finishing, paper coating, flexible wood varnishes, pressure-sensitive adhesives, sealants and ink binders.

Cosmetic Raw Materials

Functions as film-forming agent, skin feel modifier and thickener. Applied in nail polish, color cosmetics and hair styling products; the maximum allowable dosage in nail care products is 6%.

Biomedicine

Drug sustained-release coating for vascular stents: It boasts favorable biocompatibility and low platelet adsorption to prevent stent restenosis.
Also applicable to microsphere drug carriers, medical films and embedding medium for electron microscopy specimens.
