Appearance: Highly elastic, transparent and viscous colloid at room temperature; milky white liquid in aqueous emulsion form; pale yellow soft resin for low-molecular-weight solid grades.
Density: 1.04–1.08 g/cm³ (25°C)
Refractive Index: 1.466
Glass Transition Temperature (Tg): -54°C, featuring high elasticity at room temperature and excellent low-temperature toughness without brittleness.
Solubility
Soluble in ketones, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons including toluene, acetone, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, THF and dichloromethane.
Insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, n-hexane and other aliphatic alkanes.
Chemical Stability
Stable under dry and ambient temperature conditions with good resistance to weak acids and weak alkalis. Thermal decomposition occurs above 180°C, releasing irritating fumes of butyl acrylate. The product is hydrophobic with low water absorption. Ester bonds will undergo hydrolysis after long-term immersion in strong alkaline solutions.
Storage Conditions
Solid resin: Store in a sealed environment away from light at room temperature.
Aqueous emulsion: Store at 5–35°C and prevent freezing.
High-purity research-grade powder: Seal tightly and store at 2–8°C, protected from light.

1. Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives
Serves as the soft-segment matrix for self-adhesive labels, protective films and double-sided tapes, delivering long-lasting adhesion and stable bonding performance without debonding at low temperatures.
2. Coatings & Finishing Agents
Widely used for soft leather finishing, paper lamination adhesives, plastic primers and flexible wood topcoats, effectively improving the ductility and crack resistance of coating films.
3. Industrial Adhesives
Applicable to composite film compound adhesives, non-woven fabric binders, flexible sealants and textile printing adhesives.
4. Polymer Modification & Scientific Research Materials
Used as a toughening agent for blending and copolymerization modification of PVC and PMMA; available as GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography) standard samples; custom molecular weight products are available upon request.
5. Other Applications
Ink binders, waterproof emulsions, base materials for flexible medical patches, and bonding additives for lithium battery electrodes.
