1. Intermediates for Organic Synthesis As polymeric aryl bromide precursors, it can be grafted with amino groups, alkyl groups, conjugated moieties and biological ligands via Suzuki, Sonogashira and Heck coupling reactions to synthesize functionalized polystyrene, conjugated optoelectronic polymers and carrier resins.
2. Optoelectronic Functional Materials - Substrates for 5G high-frequency circuit boards and insulating layers for flexible displays: Its high bromine content enables adjustable dielectric constant and low signal loss. - Precursor for OLEDs and organic photovoltaics (OPV): Produce PPV-type conjugated luminescent polymers through coupling reactions. - Raw material for high-refractive-index optical coatings and photoresists.
3. Flame Retardant Polymers An intrinsically brominated flame-retardant resin, applied in electronic casings, aviation interior parts and composite panels to extend the fire resistance duration of materials.
4. Functional Coatings & Adsorbent Resins Bromine groups enhance the polar adhesion of coatings for anti-corrosion coatings on metals. After crosslinking, it can serve as supports for solid-phase synthesis and chromatographic separation.
5. Biomedical Research Carrier Targeted groups can be introduced via post-modification for drug sustained release and biomolecule immobilization. (For laboratory research only, not for direct clinical medical use.)
