Solubility

Soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, THF (toluene, chloroform, dichloromethane), concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid.

Insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, aliphatic alkanes, mineral oil and transformer oil.

Key Features

With carbazole aromatic heterocyclic side groups, PVK exhibits superior photoconductivity and hole transport performance, as well as excellent insulation and high resistivity. It features rigid molecular chains and brittle texture, photosensitive under UV spectrum; its photosensitivity can be enhanced by mixing with sensitizers. Resistant to weak acids, weak alkalis and water, yet vulnerable to strong oxidants and concentrated strong acids.

Stability

Stable under cool & dry ambient conditions. Aromatic rings are prone to oxidative degradation when exposed to strong oxidants or concentrated strong acids. Thermal decomposition above 350°C releases irritating carbazole fumes; films tend to yellow and age under long-term UV irradiation.

Storage

Hermetically store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, shield from light, heat sources and open flames. Prevent dust generation of powder and avoid package puncture.
